This
song was inspired by an incredible dream. This dream took place purely
on mental awareness level. There was no scenery or imagery... only communication
on a mental level. In the dream I seemed to be sitting quietly by
myself, when it seemed that someone was calling for my attention and
to 'come quickly'. Whilst there was nowhere to 'go' as such, I seemed
to suddenly be 'somewhere else'. Then I heard a beautiful choir of
angelic voices singing... "I do believe, I do I do, I do believe"
Such
was the beauty of the vocal harmony that I satrted to be filled with
great joy. Then, the singing continued... "I do believe, I do
I do, I do believe". At this point, the joy I was experiencing
was begining to overwhelm me.
And
still, the singing continued... "Jesus, stretch your hand across
this water".
At
this point, the joy was so overpowering that I shot bolt-upright in
bed, gasping, and pining to be back in that mysterious realm with
the incredible angelic choir.
Its
3am, and I get out of bed and pick up my guitar and start to transpose
what I had heard into a written form. I went back to bed and had the
most peaceful sleep I had ever had. The next day, I continued work
on the song and added verses and a chorus. the song as recorded in
the studio is a feeble attempt to re-create what I had heard in that
mysterious heavenly realm. I hope you enjoy it.
